Accomplishments:
- Raced TQ Midgets
from 1989 to 1994.
- Cal's 1995 Rookie
Season in Sprint Cars was with the IMCA 360s.
Driving for Bill & Evelyn Pratt, he captured
Heat, B-Main, Dash, and Main Event Wins. This
enabled Cal to earn TOP ROOKIE POINTS for that
season.
- Cal then moved to
SCRA competition and upgraded with a 410 Cubic
Inch Chevy Engine. He made a good rookie showing
with his steel block.
- Winner of the 1996
SCRA Quaker State Classic Dash for Cash.
- Cal has been
experimenting with various R&D projects of his
own on the car, with mixed results, but is
preparing for a serious challenge for the series
point race.
- 1999 SCRA Sportsman
of the Year.
- Finished 2nd in the
1999 Wagsdash.
- The Cal-Sun Racing
Team won the "Shiny Tire" Award at the
1999 Wagsdash.
